We welcomed cohort three to the programme, with a retreat to Langley Castle in Hexham. As part of ourcohort development programme, we encouraged the students to harness their group working skills and take part in a number of classroom and outdoor activities. Each activity was designed to improve cohesion, develop communication skills and prepare the students for the group work components of Professional Skills and the Group Project modules.
We used Andrew Scott Training to lead the event, who designed and developed a workshop to specifically focus on communication within the groups. The classroom techniques were put into action during the outdoor activities on day one, as we worked through strategy games and outdoor group tasks.
We're looking forward to watching the students develop throughout the next four years of the programme.
